something a bit different
This is my entry for the challenge and DT call at http://lexiscreations.blogspot.com/ the theme is mothers day.
These are 3 cards that i have made using some of the decorated canvasses above. They are very different from what i would normally make, they were made for a friend to give out on mothers day. During a shopping trip we found the mini canvasses in the £1 shop (4 in a pack) and she decided she had to have cards with them on (she is an artist) so the idea sprung from there.

World book day
Well this seems to have come around really quickly this year. Joe has been adament all year he was going in his policemans uniform as PC Plod from Noddy, only he changed his mind and went as woody from Toy Story.
Rachel as always wanted something different, she considered the genie from aladdin but settles for Repunzal. This meant that i had to make her a nice long plait to add onto her hair. She was also quite specific about what she wanted as a dress.
I spent about an hour monday evening just walking round 2 chairs to get the length of the hair and then probably another hour trying to plait it. Still she was happy with the end result.
Below are some piccies of them this morning.

challenge card
This is my entry to the Year of the dragon challenge over at stamping with the dragonThe image is from stamping dragon designs
The image was coloured with promarkers and then i applied a spray varnish over the top to give it a sheen, i then applied glossy accents to the feet, arms and tip of the tail so that they stood out slightly. To the wings i added frosted lace stickles.
The papers used are from DCWV teen prints paper and pocket full of poses stack.
Flowers all came from wild orchid crafts (i think).

Valentines Masquerade Mask
How chuffed am i , Rachel got disqualified from her school valentine hand made mask competition because they thought it was bought. I thought it looked nice but not that nice. She did help make it too, she designed it, chose the paper and varnished it up to make it shiny. It was supposed to have feathers around the top but even though i ordered them 10 days ago they have not arrived . The bits of dangly stuff were added as a replacement to them.

2012 craft retreat in dolgellau
What a great time was had by everyone, there were 4 demos and 4 challenges set. unfortunatly my camera died about 5 mins after arriving but i am hoping to get copies of other retreaters photos.
We all developed an unhealthy obsession to learn to crochet.
The setting was totally idyllic and it only a shame we were there to craft as it looked like a gorgeous area to explore.
Big Thanks to patsy and Shell for organinsing it it was brilliant.
This is the one and only photo that i have at the moment but hopefully more will follow (unfortunatly 2 of the retreaters had left when this was taken)
