Fathers Day Cards

some of my fathers day cards

i generally have a hard time making mans cards but as fathers day is approaching i find myself churning them out quite easily. i have quite a few fathers day cards to make. i make my husbands from the kids, my dads, my step dads, my dads from the kids, my step dads from the kids and my husbands step dad from the kids.

June Craft meet

had a great meet today with the crafty devils in warrington. made quite a few cards and a bracelet too . good job really as i have so many birthdays and fathers day coming up that i needed to get busy, and at the moment when i am at home i just dont seem to have the time there is always something else to do thats more important.

wow wow wow

have just got back from the take that concerts of city of manchester stadium. what a fantastic night. the pet shop boys were ok though i bet thats the biggest crowd they have played to but take that were amazing. i thoguht it was a bit to much robbie orientated but then again he is a brilliant show man. if you get the chance go and see them, they are definatly worth the money.

Finally

i have got my son to sit and have his face painted. i have asked him a few times if he wanted his face painted and he has always said "no thanks" well he is going to a fancy dress party tonight and we cant find his power ranger mask so i asked him again and he said "oh alright then". i wished i hadnt offered now he doesnt know what keep still means and fidgeted the whole way through. i think he looked good though considering.

i know its not really a power ranger mask but i thought this way i could still see his gorgeous face. the cheeky money even said "yeah i s'pose its not that bad"

new card for my husbands mum for mothersday and it is also my entry for the secret crafters saturday challenge which this week is basically flowers for mum. i love this image my new fav i think it is from the paper shelter and the stampmans challenge which is mothers day floral

favourite retreat cards

my favourite demo and cards of the weekend had to be shells book card. they were stunning and easyish to make. shell had done 3 stuning samples to show to us and her demo was quite easy to follow.

i like to make big cards so it took me a while to suss out the dimensions before i could start but wen i did suss them i got the card assembled very quick.

shell also gave me a one to one demonstraton about adding flowers to a card and she also let me have onle of the big flowers in fact i think it was her last one (any excuse to visit wild orchid crafts hey shell)

i loved the results and i am sure you will too

north west craft retreat

i must say a very big thank thank you to everybody at the craft retreat in prestatyn this weekend i had an absolute blast and a lovely break away from my normal home life. so patsy, shell, sara, angie, sharon, carla, sally anne, alison, margrit, sandra, jen, jules, gail, sue and donna thanks very much. patsy i cant wait for next years thanks very much for arranging it. thanks to gail for giving me a lift and thanks to shell for the £50 i spent at abakhans on the way home thanks to your help with the flowers( cant wait to get playing)

everybody had a great time, the demo's and challenges were great and we got to have lots of fun and chats.

instead of leavin it till last minute this year we have decided to start looking at options for this years world book day. so we have had a play with the paints today to see what we could come up with. my daughter has decided to go with this one and we now just have to get her outfit together. just in case you cannot work it out she will be going as the snow queen

daughters version of the same card

at last i have managed to get some christmas cards done. they are all similar in style so i wont bore you with lots of pictures but i hae added one. the all (so far) feature this stamp and black and white papers from pink petticoat

well it is nearly christmas and i still havent started on my christmas cards. it is so unlike me i normally have a ll my general cards made by now. i have decided on a simple theme for this years which is black and white(means i dont have to colour my images. will put on the pictures as soon as i have atually managd to make some
